Getting Help and Support
Overview
If you have questions about RabbitMQ or need help, there are several ways to get it:
- Freely available community resources (mailing list, Discord server, community Slack, and so on)
- Paid commercial support from VMware and other vendors
There's also a separate email address for responsible disclosure of security issues.
Community Support
Public Community Mailing List
rabbitmq-users is the group for discussions about RabbitMQ. Once you join you can get help with technical issues, ask questions and share your experiences with RabbitMQ.
The list offers a free, best effort support from the community and the RabbitMQ core team. There is no guarantee of response or specific turnaround time.
Discord Community Server

Most of RabbitMQ development happens in the open under the rabbitmq GitHub organization. See our GitHub guide for an overview of our development process and our Contributor repository for practical guides, for instance, on how to use Bazel for RabbitMQ development.
Please use GitHub Discussions for questions, discussions, investigations, root cause analysis, and so on. Questions or discussions filed as issues will be closed and converted to discussions.
Twitter
RabbitMQ is on Twitter.
If you're tweeting about RabbitMQ please don't forget to use the #rabbitmq
hash tag.
IRC
RabbitMQ IRC channel is #rabbitmq
on Libera Chat.
There's a Web interface to Libera if you don't have an IRC client installed.
Private Enquiries
Responsible Disclosure of Vulnerabilities
Please use GitHub Security Advisories or email rabbitmq-core@groups.vmware.com for responsible disclosure of vulnerabilities. All emails not related to vulnerability disclosure will be ignored.
Contacting the Core Team in Private
To contact the team privately, please email on rabbitmq-core@groups.vmware.com. Please note that this is not a support channel.
The list must only be used for things that need to be discussed in private.
If you want to ask a question about how to use RabbitMQ please use community resources or open a paid support ticket instead.
Paid Commercial Support Enquiries
For enquiries about VMware’s commercial licensing and support, there is information about offerings, subscription fees, and a contact form on this page. Alternatively, if you already have a support contract established with VMware, please see the VMware support page. For questions about booking training or consulting, please contact the appropriate vendor.
If you have questions about how to use RabbitMQ and do not want to purchase a support contract or learn about commercial offerings, please use the RabbitMQ mailing list instead.
